**Slide 4.** Fault 1: render-blocking fonts stalled first paint on five sites. Self-hosting fixed it.

**Slide 5.** Fault 2: hero images the browser finds late. Fixing it was the biggest speed lever on 6 of 10 sites.

**Slide 6.** Data, one site anonymised. Speed score 67 to 96. Main content paint 11.6s to 2.3s. Image payload 9.4MB to 4.5MB. Proven on an isolated preview build, not yet live (read 2026-10-11).

**Slide 7.** Steps: preload the hero, self-host fonts, resize images and serve WebP, curl the real security headers (Lighthouse does not score them), fix contrast, labels and tap targets.
