# guard-override-comment

Idea IB-1082. Status: DRAFT, nothing posted.

## Slides

**Cover.** My guard accepted an override typed in a comment. I built it to block risky commands. Then it let me through.

**Slide 2.** The guard blocked risky commands unless the command carried a named override word.

**Slide 3.** The hole. The override only had to appear somewhere in the command text.

**Slide 4.** So a comment counted. Typing the override into a note on the command was enough.

**Slide 5.** Data. The fixed guard: override must be a leading assignment, prose or quotes ignored, must name the exact domain, cannot be reused on another change.

**Slide 6.** Steps: match on what runs, accept the override only as a leading assignment, make it name the thing it changes, check that name is in the command, run a red case.

**Slide 7.** Quote. A guard you can talk past is a suggestion.

**Slide 8.** Comment FLEET for the guard checklist plus the free Fleet Room invite.
